Job Description Support the school’s vision and mission Serve as an effective and cooperative team member in a cross-cultural, bilingual school environment, being sensitive and respectful to different perspectives Understands the academic honesty and promotes a culture of integrity Arrives punctually to work and maintains high level of attendance and notifies school of absence and coverage plans in a timely manner according to the school policy Participates in professional development, monitoring, and evaluation processes and reflects on one’s professional performance with the line manager at a regular pace Understands the school’s safeguarding and well-being policy and supports its implementation, prioritizing student’s safety and well-being and notifies appropriate individuals of concerns Professional Responsibilities Provide a complete and professional system for application consultation, including 3-4 year development plan, career planning and university application Support students and their parents with university related decisions Assist students with applications mainly for universities in the British and United States and other countries, providing a world class guidance service Organize effective and efficient guidance classes and workshops regularly for students and parents Build and promote the career development programme across the campus Set up and maintain a database to track the application data and application result Coordinate with all school departments to effectively facilitate guidance service Keep abreast of the lates changes in university applications worldwide, including attending conferences where university guidance counselors will be representing Ulink professionally and upholding our values
Qualifications Strong passion for the education and long-term development of students At least 2 years of relevant university counselling experience Familiar with the university application in the context of A-Levels, IB and AP qualifications or other possible international qualifications Bachelor’s degree or above Oversea undergraduate or post-graduate education experience will be preferred Fluent in English, especially in writing and speaking
