1. Job Purpose Euroports is port operation company in China offering maritime solutions in port operation, import/export activities, domestic and international forwarding, and warehousing to customers specifically in the forest products industry. Our customers produce, sell, buy, or transport goods such as wood pulp, paper, and lumber/timber. Comprised of two main terminal bases in Changshu (East China) and Gaolan (South China) combined handling over 5.5 million tons annually, Euroports China prides itself as a market leader in quality, safety, service, and sustainability. Euroports is hiring a Commercial Manager for EP China. 2. Principal Accountabilities - Build and maintain close relationships with all of Euroports customers for EP China. Negotiate and close contracts with customers, Customers include local and international pulp & paper producers, shipping companies, trading companies, local agents, and others. - Develop supply chain solutions for our customers which are in line with the . company’s growth strategies. - Work together with customer service and operations teams to ensure that Euroports’ customers’ needs are met and any problems that arise are resolved quickly. - Attend networking events and build industry connections in order to facilitate . business growth - Cooperate with the terminal stakeholders and peers to jointly develop . improvements for the company and customers 3. External relationships: With all Euroports China customers (current customer & potential customer) in China b. Problem solving ? Must be able to criticize existing supply chains in order to pinpoint deficiencies and offer process improvements to our customers ? Manage any customer related issues which arise within Euroports’ end-to-end operations
c. Decision-making ? Can take the decisions related to customer requests and contracts together with Managing Director, Commercial Director, and Port Manager
d. Planning and organisation ? Needs to be able to prioritize tasks, organize daily schedules, and plan out travel to visit customers and internal partners
e. Job challenge ? Development of relationships with local customers and will involve travel to customer locations on a regular basis to build trust and cooperation 4. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential - 5+ years’ experience in with related fields of Logistics operations in stevedoring, shipping, or forest product related companies - Outgoing mentality and ability to build strong relationships with customers - Aggressive in chasing after opportunities with customers - Strong time management ability and well organized in order to keep with deadlines and follow up with customers - Able to travel regularly to visit customers Desirable - Already have existing contacts within the related market Technical Skills - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - General understanding of global supply chain and port operations - Knowledge of performance reporting, process development, cost and price analysis
