Responsibilities: - Development and design of new variants of welded structures on large, marine 2-stroke engines, following design principles of WinGD and international standards. - Parameterization of the design using Siemens NX 3D models. - FE-analysis of welded steel structures 61 Design and review of 3D models, manufacturing drawings and metadata of engine components related to the welded structures. - Planning, coordination and review of the tasks that are outsourced to 3rd parties. - Participate in the project meetings to report progress and provide information to Project Managers, both in China and to head office.
Accountabilities: - Ensure proper design of welded structure. - Ensure proper selection and implementation of safety related instruments in the welded structure. - Ensure communication and deliveries to Classification Society Team. - Review and approval of documentation made by external parties according project schedules. - Configuration of product variants.
Requirements - 5 years experience in design/drafting of welded structures and/or pressure vessels - Able to manage own tasks delegated to external partners. - Fluent in speaking and writing in Chinese and English - University degree (BSc/MSc) in mechanical engineering - Open minded - Resistant to stress - Determined to achieve goals - Good planning skills - Siemens NX and Teamcenter expertise - COMOS
