Position Summary: As technical owner, be responsible for moderate custom solutions throughout their whole life cycle: from conceptual design, detailed design, fabrication, testing, commissioning, aftersales to iteration of development phases. Be able to lead members (up to 2) of Design Engineering (designer engineers and/or drafters) to accomplish the tasks assigned. Key Responsibilities: ? Develop quote of the custom solutions with fundamental schematics, key components, delivery info, labor costs, budget allowance (if applicable) and with necessary drawings and documentation (under the support of design engineering team) during conceptual design phase. ? Review and assist to finalize the mechanical system solutions developed by design engineers to ensure functionality, manufacture feasibilities, reliability & safety, human engineering factors goals are achieved, drawings and documentation all conform to customer requirements, during detailed design phase. ? Develop process sheet of the sections related to system overview and functional processes, such as design parameters, testing, inspection and etc. Work with design engineers to complete and finalize it. ? Review and assist design engineers to finalize documentation including operation and maintenance manuals. ? Provide technical assistance for production team during fabrication and testing phases. ? Provide technical assistance for field service and sales teams during commissioning and aftersales phases. ? As main technical communication window, respond to sales & FE teams of their inquiries and coordinate relevant functions to solve problems of the responsible custom solutions cases during conceptual design/detailed design/fabrication/testing/commissioning/aftersales services phases. ? Summarize and organize custom solutions cases responsible for and generate developmental suggestions to FE & Marketing functions. ? Under the supervision and support of upper-level management, develop oneself and members of Design Engineering with whom are partnered in dedicated industries/fields. ? Support cross functional departments of internal developmental projects and/or external customer-facing projects. ? Support Corporate Engineering Services of engineering activities. ? Cover the work of other Applications Engineers and/or Junior Applications Engineers when needed. ? Conduct the activities to fulfill company strategies under the management of Applications Engineer Supervisor and department manager. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering. Continuous education of business degree is preferred. Experience: 7+ years of engineering experience in in a developmental professional position ? Experience of designing of tubing/piping system/automated equipment is required ? Experience of using Swagelok or equivalent products is required ? Experience of working at EPCs or integrators is preferred ? Experience of working at international companies is preferred Skills/Knowledge: ? Fluid dynamics knowledge ? Mechanical engineering knowledge ? Industrial application knowledge ? Design software skills (Solidworks, MathCad, Matlab, etc.) ? Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) ? CET VI, must be able to speak, read & write in English.
