POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to General Manager – China located in Shanghai, China, focusing on expanding the China market and planning future business growth. You will be required to develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new customers which will be a key relationship and facilitator of future success.
RESPONSIBILITIES ? Identify new customer opportunities and acquire new business from existing and prospect accounts - Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth; ? Contribute to the Gulf Oil Marine Lubricants strategy, market plans and business planning cycle for the region; ? Deliver value added customer service and innovative solutions to our customers; ? Define and implement account plans for the development of sales to both current and potential customers/distributors; ? Provide comprehensive, timely and accurate forecasts, commentaries and activity plans for the portfolio of accounts; ? Maintain the accounts and credit procedures in line with contract terms and established guidelines; ? Provision of technical support and advice to customers by working in close cooperation with the technical services team; ? Leverage market intelligence and customer relationships to ensure management are appraised of market demand, customer response, competitive products, competing manufacturers’ procedures and pricing environment; ? Monitor the budget for the area to ensure that all financial targets are met and that all necessary financial controls are in place and observed; ? Monitor feedback from customers to measure their satisfaction of products and services while maximizing profitability; ? Ensure compliance with Gulf Oil Marine policies and procedures including HSSEQ & Ethics.
REQUIREMENTS ? Diploma or University graduate in Business Administration, Marketing or Maritime relevant disciplines (preferred); ? A minimum of 5 years sales experience, ideally in marine or similar sector; ? High-performing sales professional who holds a track record of over-achieving goals; ? Result-oriented and a problem solver with excellent communication skills and negotiation skills; ? Up to date with the current market trends and business strategies; ? Understanding of Marine Lubricants business and supply chain is preferable; ? Strong business acumen with excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ? May require travel aboard for business and customer meeting; ? Proficiency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English.
