Key Responsibilities: 1 Take the role of Engineering interface to customers and provide expert technical support in application projects and RFQs 2 Propose suitable products per customer technical specifications, and lead engineering activities from quotation phase until successfully launching the products into manufacturing 3 Carry out engineering activities including design solution, data releasing, BOMs, prototype, validation P&R, trouble shooting and so on 4 Conduct engineering works within proper engineering process, e.g. APQP, FMEA, Gate review, Design review, Design Release, etc. 5 Collect voice of customer and translate it into functional specifications 6 Suggest new technology and provide innovative design or manufacturing approaches for top-selling products 7 Support operations team regarding continuous improvement and issue resolution 8 Be involved in cost-out activities through localization and VAVE 9 Travel on-site to support customer issues 10 Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout the project life cycle Skill & Experience Required (by priority): 1 Minimal 5 years of experience in automotive or relevant industry 2 Strong technical background and program management experience (APQP, IATF16949 etc.) 3 Teamwork spirit, willing to support 4 Resourceful, Creative, Hands-on mindset 5 Fluent in Japanese is preferred Education background: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
