- Work in close partnership with Division management to build Polymers business by providing sound, innovative, strategic leadership and initiatives. - Communicates a thorough knowledge of product information, customer needs & applications, regulatory requirements, upstream developments and competitive landscape to identify future challenges and opportunities that will influence the business. - Responsible for the development and management of the Divisional marketing department budget. - Develops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share for Polymers Division - Monitors and analyzes marketing programs and adjusts execution and resources to increase effectiveness. - Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities and appropriate strategic initiatives required to drive growth and achieve the targets of the division. - Manages analysis of competition in the region - Provides analysis of, and regular status reports on marketing programs. - Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image - Develop a personal development plan, managed against specific goals, for all direct reports and ensure that the plan is implemented. Provide regular coaching and feedback and conduct timely performance appraisals of all direct reports to encourage, motivate and improve staff performance, and to ensure consistency in the quality of the output from marketing department. - Develops and executes programs to support authority management objectives of the business teams - Identifies potential new business opportunities/models, and develops plans and action steps to secure such business. - Manages department to ensure full compliance with company’s regulations, e.g. employee handbook, IMS,CI/CD, EHSS - Advanced university degree in marketing, (or technical degree plus MBA), with at least 5 years of direct marketing management. Experience in business to business and/or business to government marketing strategy and execution is required. Product launch and business development experience required. At least 5 years supervisory experience. Previous experience in the construction, coatings or adhesives product industries is preferred.
