Carrie out the technical and commercial offers 1.Analyses the need and/or the request of the customer 2.Analyse technical and contractual risks of the project autonomously according to company contract terms&conditions guideline. 3. Creates the technical and commercial offer 4. Applies the commercial and pricing policy of PCM respecting the General Terms and Conditions of Sale 5. Informs the Line Manager or Sales Operation Manager ) of key interesting and/or strategic offers (spare parts activity) 6. Achive the copy of all parts, upgrade and pump conversion offers sent on his area in fold on company server. 7. Sends reminders to customers/distributors in order to know/update the status of the offers (depending on the size of the project, amount, lead-time…)
ACTIVITY 2 - Spare parts Activity (due to volume and workload, some Sales Support F&I for FRANCE will only focus on Spare Parts activity) 1. Issues and analyses the bill of material of the pump, Analyses the sectional drawings, Identifies parts to be proposed; Issues spare parts lists. 2. Asks (if necessary) suppliers for quotation in order to get answers/offers quicker (drives suppliers, Haigh, Johnson…) 3. Offers none catalog spare parts with the technical support of Engineering and/or Marketing Departments ACTIVITY 3 - Pumps Activity (replacement of competitor pump or other type of pump)) (The technical and commercial proposal can be supported by Application Engineer) 1. Identifies the range of pumps to be proposed 2. Studies and understands (simple) tender specifications from the customer 3.Determines technically the pump in accordance with customer's need 4. Determines the drive according to customer's demands/expectations 5. Offers accessories and spare parts related to the new equipment/pump selected 6.Asks properly for technical studies for options (standard with options) Activity 4. Validate the orders 1. Understands/knows the legal impacts of the terms of international contracts 2. Analyse the contract review, identify the gap and forwards information to the contract reviewer and approver for action, if not, proceeds directly pump and sales parts orders. 3. Deals with amendments of spare parts/pumps orders (if necessary) 4. Informs (if necessary) the PCM services impacted by these amendments and/or changes 5. Forwards the files/orders to the Sales Administration Dpt for logistic follow-up and dispatch (leadtimes follow-up, AO sending for pumps and parts, customer communications...) Activity 5. Commercial / Sales missions 1. Provides sales and technical support (to the extent of its skills/competencies) to customers, distributors, agents and subsidiaries 2. Records customers/prospects accounts in the CRM (Selligent) and keeps them updated (customer accounts are under the responsability of the Area Sales Manager/) 3.Negotiates spare parts/pumps orders with the customer, in agreement with the Line Manager or the Sales Operation Manager 4. Issues proforma invoices for spare parts and pumps 5. Checks customer's payments and sends reminders if needed (for downpayments and pre-payments) 7. Takes part actively to the versatility of the Sales Support teamwork 8. Records every relevant and/or important information in the CRM (Selligent) 9. Perform customer visits regularly ACTIVITY 6 - Support to Customer Service, and Services Activity
1. In case of customer claim (pump or spare part), clarifies (if necessary) the problem with the customer and asks (if needed) additionnal information (serial number, running data, pictures…) 2. Forwards the claim/files to the Customer Service for care/action (Customer Service, after-sales) and informs the customer accordingly 3. In some cases, may have to open and record a claim in the CRM (even if not within the scope of Sales Support missions) 4. Advises the customer with some service offers (dechroming of rotor, refurbishment of mechanical seal, warranty extension…) Activity 7. Sales 1. Develop direct sales (OEM, Key accounts, End Users, Engineering Company…) 2.Actively visit customers in the region and update CRM data 3. Maintain and improve high level of service to the customer (prompt and proficient answers) 4. Understand, implement, and manage marketing and sales development plans in the region 6. Actively contribute to Service and spare parts sales 7. Follow-up offers in the region for all activities of PCM 8. Monitor and supervise all contracts and operations in the region for all the activities of PCM 9. Prepare and participate in promotional activities (exhibition, Lunch & learns, seminars…) 10. Regularly follow-up receivables/pending payments and chase potential overdue. 11.Analyse and report risks associated to a project (technical, commercial, finance, legals…) 12. Select, configure the relevant equipment 13. Prepare, review and submit technical offers for pumps and basic systems 14.Review Sales contract and place orders in the CRM Activity 8. Budget / IBP 1.Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly turnover for the region 2. Forecast monthly sales revenue for the region to boost IBP 3. Collaborate in establishing sales budget for the region Activity 9. Market / Competition intelligence 1. Report market trends to General Manager 2. Report competition prices, features and strategy to management and Marketing 3. Report any information related to another region to the appropriate Sales contact
