Job Title:China Demand Analyst- AUT Overview: The Demand Analyst position is responsible for China region forecasting activities associated with Sales, PMs and factory partners. The position creates and maintains forecast models and incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, customers, product management and other sources. The Demand Analyst responsible for Product lines in support of the China Auto BU forecast within Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
Key Tasks: Develop demand forecasts for key customers and some product lines in support of the Auto sales forecast. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate accuracy of forecast results. Co-ordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales or customer input. Interact with PM leaders to understand forecast drivers, gain consensus and align forecast model to finance guidance projections. Monitor demand plan versus actual results on monthly basis, perform root cause analysis and drive improvement activities. Input and maintain information in the demand planning software, use as the primary forecasting system tool and comply with established timeframes to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Provide input and preparation of data used for the supply planning consensus meetings. Monitor Key customer SA behavior to improve SA forecasting accuracy. Design material planning proposal (such as safety stock) to PM/Sales base on product business and production features.
Key Performance Measurements: Monthly forecast prediction and provide detail analysis and reason of forecast change by projects. Strong alignment among sales and product management that continuously improve and align the demand and financial forecast. Effectively communicate with key Sales/PMs on forecast performance and develop improvement activities that better anticipate customer needs.

Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Management or Supply Chain. Over 5 years planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Working knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and planning operations. Strong proficiency in Microsoft office Flexibility to support global collaboration outside normal work hours.
Preferred: 5-7 years demand planner experience in large manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience with JDA or SOM forecast software. Functional knowledge of report generation in TED Database. Experience with SAP software.
