Job Purpose Lead and develop the safe implementation of capital projects for process plant including design development, simulation and commissioning.
Key Accountabilities 61 Support Lead engineer to develop the process electrical and automation solutions to deliver best performance at lowest cost giving due regard to safety, operability, maintainability and legal compliance 61 Support Lead engineer to develop detailed process electrical plans and drawings for capital projects (ETAP / SEE expert) 61 Support Project Managers on major projects undertaken by SG-TIP worldwide or existing operations to deliver installations on time and to budget 61 Able to write / simulate / commission PLC based automation applications for Gypsum and Insulation business unit worldwide. 61 Machine safety: define global architectures for burners by selecting and validate equipment based on Performance Level request. 61 Sistema calculation and write associate documentation for certification purpose. 61 Interface with burner suppliers 61 Deploy high level solution to cover expectation. 61 Write/review various documentation (FDS, “how to…”) 61 Support Lead engineer to implement of approved capital projects. 61 Being the credible Expert, Providing expert support to operating plants 61 Ensure efficient handover of projects ensuring full documentation, training, support etc. 61 Provide expert support to operating plants 61 Support Lead engineer to commissioning of new equipment and processes 61 Update and maintain best practice design information within the SG-TIP Supplier relationship management
Technical Knowledge Core 61 Comprehensive knowledge of SG and SG-TIP safety management system and standards. 61 Basic level skill in Process Electrical detailed design 61 Basic level skill in Process Electrical field installation 61 Basic knowledge of Power distribution 61 EEM Practitioner 61 Basic knowledge in automation platform Siemens TIA Portal / TIA Portal safety 61 Basic knowledge in automation platform Rockwell Studio 5000 61 Basic knowledge in machine safety design. 61 Basic knowledge in Programming, simulation, commissioning (IO test, instrumentation, VFD, software….) 61 Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems 61 Expertise in network design such as Profinet / Ethernet IP
Process 61 Basic comprehensive understanding of gypsum and insulation processes
Qualifications required 61 Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or equivalent 61 Educated to Masters or Bachelor with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience or to degree level and with considerable experience
Specific work experience required 61 Site experience (Operations and/or Multiple Project start-ups) sufficient to demonstrate expertise and leadership. 61 Proven track record working in a Highly automated, high speed (24/7) process or mechanical handling industry 61 Understands cultural differences and able to adapt behaviour to influence, engage with and motivate cross cultural teams. 61 Time spent in a plant engineering or maintenance role in a continuous process industry. Able to work in other countries for long period (>30% of working time dedicated to business trips worldwide).
