The Design Automation Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the various engineering systems. These systems include, but are not limited to AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, PeopleSoft and SAP Configurator, AutoSub Access Database, PPD, and Pre-Punch Access Database. The analyst will mainly be involved in the maintenance these various systems and their content.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: ? Develop and maintain the Peoplesoft and SAP Configurators product models. ? Deliver fully tested systems for each new product by project’s launch date (as determined in Tollgate 3). ? Maintain Engineering Data Transfer Tools, Standards and Templates. ? Maintain PPD content and troubleshoot issues as they arise. ? Aid with the qualification and implementation of new process and systems improvements. ? Train employees on the usage of systems and tools as required. ? Accurately estimate and communicate project implementation actions and timelines. ? Support various engineering systems by maintaining uptime and troubleshooting issues. ? Assist in development and implementation of new systems and tools and create new tool templates. ? Incorporate changes from new drawing standards, aid in the specification and testing of new and next generation software and training for new users.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: ? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Math or Computer Science is required. ? 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline required ? Working knowledge of HVAC systems for closed, open, adiabatic, ice thermal units required with preference given for those with knowledge of BAC products, processes and manufacturing operations. ? Proficient Autodesk CAD Products, PeopleSoft and/or SAP ERP systems ? Solid communication and collaboration skills required. ? Independent accountability and drive to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. ? Proficient with Microsoft Excel. (Expert Preferred)
