RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop and implement short and long-term strategic marketing plans/ new product launch plans, objectives and tactics that lead to market leadership for core products. 2. Maintain a high knowledge of the scientific, technical, rational and emotional differences between Abbott and competitor products and ensure the Sales Force has a strong working knowledge 3. Lead open, consistent and clear communications between Marketing and Sales 4. Assist the Education Department to facilitate product in-servicing, training, and support for customers. 5. Build strong working relationships with the sales force to ensure marketing programs are effectively executed. 6. Keep up to date with government and industry trends related to product portfolio. 7. Build short and long-term sales models based on a solid understanding of the competitive marketplace to support Strategic Plan and Operating Plan. 8. Effectively develop and manage promotional budget to deliver strategic marketing plans and sales objectives. 9. Build enthusiasm for your product portfolio throughout the organization. 10. Organize and lead sales conferences for related to your product portfolio. 11. Partner with the sales force in the preparation and submission of tenders. 12. Maintain accurate and up to date pricing information by accounts. 13. Identify ways to improve the effectiveness of the marketing and wider organization. 14. Support Customer Service in managing programmers. 15. Ensure maintenance of company property/assets. 16. Execute the job and division responsibilities according to applicable Abbott Standard Operating Procedures 17. Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by Manager
REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor degree in biomedical / engineering / medical science or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) desirable 2. At least 3-4 years solid Sales/Marketing experience from within the medical devices or related field. 3. Proven 2-3 years marketing experience. 4. Analytical Thinking / Problem Solving: Works systematically and logically to resolve problems, address opportunities, or manage the situation at hand. 5. Creativity and Innovation: Generates and promotes new ideas and uses them to develop new or improved processes, methods, systems, solutions, products or services. 6. Oral Communication / Presentation: Effectively transfers thoughts and expresses ideas verbally in individual or group situations. 7. Planning & Organizing: Effectively identifies, plans, schedules and co-ordinates the resources (people, material, information, time) required to accomplish goals. 8. Strategic Business Focus: Understands business concepts and business practices; keeps up to date with business trends and developments; works to create new solutions for customers and competitive advantage for SJM. 9. Proficient at using Microsoft Office Suites ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
