We are localizing our IntelliJ-based products for the Chinese market (with English as the source language and Simplified Chinese as the target), and we are now looking for a Localization QA engineer who is a native speaker of Chinese (Simplified).

Tasks:
1. Testing IDE integration with JetBrains AI tools, including requests in English and Chinese.
2. Refining prompts in the Chinese language to increase JetBrains AI tools quality.
3. Manual testing of integration with local market’s development tools and services in different environments.
4. Finding issues that impact the effectiveness or adaptation of the product to the Chinese-speaking market specifically.
5. Linguistic testing of localized software: testing localized features, screens, the user interface, and content for accuracy, ensuring that these elements are
appropriate in both cultural and technical contexts.
6. Communicating with users: reproducing the reported problems and requesting information required for investigation.
7. Collaborating with other teams, such as development, localization, and regional managers.
8. Regression testing of stable functionality.
9. Acceptance testing of new features.

Required Skills:
1. At least 2 years of technical background and/or some programming experience.
2. Familiarity with the local software development trends and tools.
3. Eexperience in prompt engineering and evaluation of generative AI systems.
4. Experience working in IDEs (IntelliJ-based products, Visual Studio).
5. Ability to test without functional specification.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Desire to improve the product.
8. Fluent English.
9. Native Mandarin Chinese proficiency

1. Experience with the design and delivery of ML/AI features into products.
2. Knowledge of evaluation techniques and frameworks.
