Purpose of the position — Perform a thorough review of customer’s inquiry and/or request for Process Design information. Lead the concept finding discussion and implement. — Development of process- and plant concepts based on the performance requirements, interpretation- and evaluation criteria of the client as well as under consideration of standardization and cost aspects. — Selection of the main component, increase the uniformity of the plant design and plant equipment. — Develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with proposals. — Provide technical support to sales manager and aftersales plant modification. — Organize and review the process concept material for Proposals and project execution phase.
Principal responsibilities — provide information throughout the various proposal, engineering and construction phases to the proposal and project teams regarding all aspects of Process Engineering — Perform process simulations and develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s) and Heat and Material Balances (H&MB’s) — coordinate the procedure in the bidding and design phase. — develop sizing information for Process Equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment data sheets. — Prepare material selection designation (diagram) for plant requirements is needed. — provide technical expertise to the project execution team and assist in developing plant control philosophy. — Coach of junior process engineer, responsible for the quality of design work and documents. — Ad-hoc assignment from line manager.
Required qualifications/experiences — Holding bachelor’s degree, 10+ years of working experience, 5+ years of direct working experience with ASU and/or chemical process and concept design experience — Familiar with the main components features, good to have system design/equipment design background. — Good facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills — Fluent in English — experience in process simulation required, as well as strong working knowledge of one or more process simulators such as Optisim and/or Unisim , could optimise process calculation — Microsoft office, VISIO to issue datasheet and diagram. — Comos PEW to release PFD and process datasheet package. — Strong Excel skills are required as well.
