Mission: The merchandiser will be based in office in Shanghai, under the supervision of the Sourcing manager and Senior merchandiser. He/She will be in direct contact with overseas customers and in charge of their satisfaction along the full purchasing process, supporting their growth and the growth of the company. Job Responsibilities: - Daily communication with customers, suppliers, and our QC department. - Sourcing and quoting, through RFI & RFQ process. - Drive the overall quality process, from the audit of factories and sampling to the different quality controls set up, with the support of the QC team. - Lead the product development process & supervise the sample launching and validation. - Analyze the market and develop negotiation strategies for pricing and contract terms with the suppliers. - Manage orders’ follow up, ensuring schedules are in line with agreed timelines and customer requirements. - Be the key point of contact between customers, forwarders, and suppliers throughout shipment’ booking process. - Prepare and verify shipping documents. - Deliver a good after sales services to our customers. - Build and maintain strong business relationships with the suppliers. - Regular business trips are expected Requirements: - Academic background: University degree, preferably in engineering and/or business administration, economics, or other relevant disciplines. - A minimum of 3 years in a merchandiser role with solid experience in dealing with factories and overseas customers, preferably within the furniture industry. - Language skills: Proficiency in Chinese and English and French is essential. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Photoshop.
