We are seeking a creative women’s cut and sewn designer who is capable of independently designing and developing new products in line with the latest fashion trends and consumer preferences, and who is also capable of working with production team to efficiently manage the process from prototype, to sample, to actual products. As a Designer for Cut & Sew, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the brand's design direction and develop garments that resonate with customers. Trends analysis: Conduct ongoing research on global fashion trends and consumer preferences in key regions of our overseas target markets. 2. Design development: Conceptualize and independently design T-shirt, loungewear and other cotton clothing that align with the market trends. Participate in brainstorming sessions and concept ideation to develop new and innovative design. 3. Technical specifications: Prepare detailed technical packages for production, including sketches, specifications, and construction details, ensuring accurate execution of designs for garment samples and production. 4. Sample Review and Fit Sessions: Participate in sample reviews and fit sessions to provide feedback on the fit, construction, and design details of apparel prototypes. 5. Collaboration: Assist in sourcing and selecting appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for garment prototypes and production. Work closely with buyers and manufacturers to align design concepts with production capabilities. 6. Brand Alignment: Understand and maintain the brand's design aesthetic and language in all women's cut and sewn apparel products. Collaborate with the design team and brand team to ensure consistency in storytelling and branding across cut and sewn collections. 7. Trend Presentation: Assist in preparing trend presentations and mood boards to inspire and inform the design process. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. 2. Minimum 5 years experience in fashion design, ideally with a strong portfolio in cut & sew products. 3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Office and PLM. 4. Experience with live and form fit sessions. 5. Ability to prepare tech packs with concise information, scans, images and details for collection and production. 6. Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 7. Good oral and written English. 8. Global market experience is preferred.
