The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible to schedule and coordinate the timely movement of assemblies, materials, and components, and completed shipping between China and Canada. Most importantly, the Logistics Coordinator ensures a seamless and problem-free delivery of the parts to the production in Canada. They are also responsible for ensuring that complete and accurate documentation is kept for each shipment and provided to the others as required. Relationships: ?Reports to: Global Procurement Manager ?Supervises: None ?Internal Contacts: Logistics Coordinator, Management, QA, Finance, Materials, Service, Scheduling ?External Contacts: Freight companies, Customs brokers, drivers Key Responsibility Areas: Logistics Management ?Communicates and Coordinates with freight companies, Customs brokers, production, and suppliers. ?Develops systems and processes for arranging export of components. ?Organizes and coordinates shipments of materials and components. ?Prepares all paperwork for regulatory authorities. ?Negotiates and authorizes contracts for all aspects of transportation and delivery. ?Coordinates to provide the supply-chain scenario and familiarize the rules of Customs and foreign exchange. ?Keeps track of inventory levels and movement of goods throughout the supply chain, avoids stockouts, minimizes surplus inventory, and maximizes efficiency in operations. ?Analyzes data to assess performance, identify logistical problems and devise plans for improvements. Documentation ?Maintains master shipping plan based on the released PO. ?Creates packing list for each shipment. ?Produces Customs documentation to facilitate import and export of assemblies, materials, and components. ?Works with financial supervisor to create purchase contracts and submits invoices for import and export. Qualifications: ?Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or another relevant field. ?Experience in ERP/supply chain plan /inventory management. ?Must have formal training in logistics. ?Knowledge and experience with logistics software, and with ERP systems, to manage timing, costs and stock levels. ?Comfortable working in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. ?Strong skills in communication and cooperating, with good responsibility sense. ?Extensive senior Logistical experience is required. ?Experience in international shipping is essential, familiarity with Canada and USA is an asset. ?Experience in a job which requires research of complex issues and independent problem-solving. ?Good English skill in oral & writing.
