As a Field Applications Engineer you will interface with our customers, internal engineering, marketing, and sales teams. The position will be responsible for Design for Manufacture, Design for Test and Design for Assembly of high-Speed electrical backplane systems and interconnect.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide Signal Integrity support for customers’ designs and test requirements. Know how to analyze the SI report and impedance report.
2. Familiar with component knowledge, connector selection, Press fit and SMT process
3. Experience for PCB layout design, schematic design.
4. Familiar with standard Backplane, CPCI, VPX,VME etc.
5. Engineering resource to lead technical aspects of the sales campaign for design opportunities.
6. Provide technical support for the development and implementation of Backplane assemblies.
7. Prepare materials and participate in customer presentations for design, testing and assembly solutions.
8. Technical support of PCB data and DFM requests with customers to support their designs.
9. Work with PCB suppliers and material vendors to understand technology and capabilities.
10. Support technical audits of PCB suppliers, review of PCB capabilities and valuating PCB suppliers.
11. Familiar with IPC knowledge (class I, II, III)
12. Support the requirements for developing test reports, capability reports, and material test vehicle qualification.
13. Other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Education Background:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering，from 211 or 985 will be preferred.

Work Experience:
At least 5 years of industry experience.
Skills:
1. Circuit and PCB layout using CAD tools - Allegro, or CAD, Valor.
2. With Signal Integrity will be preferred.
3. Lab test equipment - VNA, TDR, Oscilloscope.
4. Modeling tools - Pro E, Solid works.
5. Microsoft Office Products - Excel, Power point, Word.
6. Strong organization and presentation skills.
7. High level customer service and ability to build relationships with customers.
8. Fluent English speaking and writing.
9. Some travel will be required.
