Reporting Report to the Technical Director & Managing Directors Duties and Responsibilities ●Ensures compliance with relevant marine legislation, Class society rules. ●Establishes procedures, processes and systems required to support vessel operations from onshore offices. Use operations and support resources to implement these procedures, processes and systems. ●Oversees vessel operations and repairs to ensure equipment is maintained and operationally ready to meet customers’ needs. ●Oversees all aspects of vessel shore support including crew administration, management,movement, assignment and familiarization. ●Reports to Technical Director of all vessel defect and breakdowns. ●Supports and supervises the fleet to maximise their effectiveness and efficiency. ●Provides guidance and assistance to the fleet with respect to employee discipline,appraisals, performance and any other work-related issues. ● Ensures through review, that the onboard technical management operates in accordance with required standards. ●Ensures through review that the planned maintenance system is implemented and monitored on vessels. ●Monitors and review vessel and office operating costs with the department. ●Liaises with vessels to ensure: o Maintenance is being carried out to required company standards. o Adequate technical advice is available. o Adequate spares are available. o Lube oil analysis reports are monitored effectively. ●Liaises with Class Societies and Flag State Authorities to ensure vessel certification requirements remain in order and current. ● Liaises with the Procurement Department to ensure timely forwarding of critical spares and equipment. ●Schedules maintenance beyond scope of vessel crew, along with Directors as well as: o Major repairs o Dry dockings o Modifications
