PURPOSE As a packaging designer attached to the Auchan Retail International Brand department, you listen to customer expectations to help make our International Own brands a lever of preference.
GENERAL MISSION Based on the graphic guidelines developed for each product universe, the packaging specialist is responsible for the development of artworks and Instructions manuals, from the writing of the briefs for design agencies until the reception of the final elements, in collaboration with the professions linked to the product development.
He ensures the efficient and timely creation and/or modification of given packaging range. He takes care of the visual coherence of his packaging. By his actions, the Packaging designer greatly contributes to the attractiveness of Auchan's offer and hence the customers' loyalty. He complies with Auchan Code of Ethics and CSR policy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES a) He pilots design agencies, photos studios and/or suppliers to create or modify all the artworks and instruction manuals on given products ranges in line with graphic guidelines developed in France. b) He guarantees the coherency and the efficiency of the artworks and instruction manuals. c) If necessary, he creates and/or modifies artworks and instruction manuals according to project flow. d) He runs the translation offices. e) He works closely with the product leader and the product engineer to write the packaging brief and to collect product and regulatory texts. f) He works in projects mode with many people involved (offer team, product team, quality team, suppliers, design agencies…). He guarantees the planning regarding the creation and modifications of the artworks and instruction manuals. He strictly follows the validation process. g) He spontaneously proposes packaging improvements. h) As an experienced person, he trains and coaches junior members of the team if any. i) He archives all artworks and instruction manuals realized in a structured and accessible manner.

Minimum Experience: - 3 to 5 years experience in the field of packaging and design of mass consumption products. - Minimum 2-3 years studying/working in a Western country or Corporation. - Experience in an international sourcing structure is a clear plus
Language: - Good written and spoken English - French appreciated
Computer Skills: - Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
