Responsibilities:
？Develop technology to support new applications for polymer films.？ Work with commercial team and customers to define critical market needs, relevant technical standards, and key technical performance requirements.？ Create prototypes and test to demonstrate properties.？ Compare performance of products to competitive options and define value proposition.？ Create marketing material and technical sales collateral and promote products with customers.
？Investigate new formulations for polymer films and coatings to achieve desired properties.？ Utilize standard film handling and coating processes and identify and utilize external partners and toll manufacturers, as needed.
？Create new composite materials with desired properties.？ Identify materials, equipment, process parameters, and relevant testing.？ ？Examine producibility, quality, cost, and competitive positioning.
？Support scale-up of applications with customers.？ Provide process and material guidance to ensure satisfactory results.
？Communicate results with stakeholders, both internally and externally.？ Promote use of products to decision makers in various functions, using varied communication styles as needed.？ Provide detailed and honest assessment of project progress and recommendations for improvement to management.
？Lead projects, coordinate with other business functions, and create and maintain timelines.？
？Document results in laboratory notebooks.？ Write project summaries and technical reports.？ Write external sales collateral documents.
？Research and understand latest technology trends in target industries and share with internal and external customers according to business needs.
？Provide guidance to lab technician. ？Develop experiment and testing plans, collect and analyze data, and maintain an accurate and up-to-date laboratory record.
？Follow the guidelines for laboratory equipment, supplies, training procedures and records according to lab safety requirements.

Qualifications:
？Doctorate in Engineering or Science with experience in Materials, Polymers, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines is required.
？Self-motivated, innovated, and passionate team player.？ Result oriented and good teamwork.
？Track record of innovation, as demonstrated by publications and patents.
？Ability to read and understand technical literature and patents to understand technical trends independently. Ability to quickly and independently learn about new materials, processes, markets, applications.？Basic knowledge and experience of project management.
？Complete R&D work on schedule and can accept adjustments in R&D direction based on market and internal needs.
？Able to communicate with customers in a variety of industries.？ Capable to influence customers using technical knowledge and creativity.？ Able to obtain technical requirements and promote use of products.？
？High oral and written proficiency in English is required.？ Desire to work in and contribute to a global R&D community with colleagues in other regions and countries, in multiple functions, using written and oral communication in English.
？Willingness to travel up to 15% of time.
？Projects management experience is preferred.
？Preference for those with knowledge of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP), fluoropolymers, architectural or electronics coatings, adhesives, application development, polymer films, building and construction, and/or photovoltaics.
