Development Manager (Full Stack Engineering) job is responsible for developing the most appropriate and secure technology solutions using Agile mode in line with the solution design, to meet business needs, ensuring continuous improvement. The job holder act as technical lead of specific China Insurance applications, is responsible for the whole lifecycle of those applications’ enhancement delivery and production supporting maintenance etc. tasks. Furthermore, he/she would be liaison with local regulator for all the IT matters. He/She needs to face off to business users and other service/support functions in China, regional and global level and external parties such as software and hardware suppliers to provide the IT services within budget and meeting high level of quality (including complying to regulatory, internal policy and standards).

In this role, you will: This role will carry out some or all of the following activities: - Design, develop and maintain applications with necessary functional testing, code review and deployment. - Familiar with front-end and back-end technology stacks for development, implement products with agile methods and iterate quickly and maintain a competitive advantage. - This role is the domain IT SME of the supporting applications, can provide professional view and insight from domain knowledge perspective to make sure the applications to cater business growth requirement. - Participate in code reviews and design meetings, and be able to respond quickly and resolve issues to keep the team on track. - As IT service owner which is accountable for building and maintaining effective control of the end to end (E2E) Service / Application daily operation. - Build good working relationship with business department and ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders with IT services. - As the local representative of the IT department, be responsible for the first-hand handling of all local IT matters, including the internal and external regulatory responses.
Qualifications To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements: - Expertise in various mainstream/modern technology stacks. - Familiar with technology trends, arthitect concept, Container platform, Cloud platforms and network technology. - Knowledge of project governance and stakeholder management and third party management. - Good business sense, ability to continually question and reduce costs. - Strong drive to get things done and work in an environment with many moving parts but still find a way forward. - Good team player with ability to work under stress and self-motivate. - University graduate in Information Technology, Computer, Information Security, or related major or equivalent is required - Working experience in insurance company or bank is preferred. - Working experience of Data platform and Data Domain knowledge is a plus.
