ABOUT YOUR ROLE: Define , execute and manage product portfolio in line with business goals. Develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, price-positioning, and time-integrated plans for product introduction and developing marketing strategies.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information. * Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes. * Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products. * Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives. * Obtains product market share by working with sales managers to develop product sales strategies. * Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results. * Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests. * Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production/ importing schedules. Manages / determines service policies for products. * Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing analyses. * Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, channel management, MARCOM and production. * Determines product pricing and value propositions by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
* Marketing or Engineering university degree required. MBA will be an advantage * 8+ years experience with product development, launch & commercialization in a B to B and/ or B to C business environment. Experience in Automotive Aftermarket will be a plus. * Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills in English * Strong teamwork and relationship building skills. Experience in working with cross functional teams. * Excellent Excel and Powerpoint presentation skills * Strong ability to multi-task & effective negotiation skills. * Excellent project management skills with an ability to communicate with team members in a timely, concise manner * Strong customer focus and orientation * Willing to travel on requirement
