Job Description: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive growth, establishing and maintaining key client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. This role requires a proactive approach, a deep understanding of the industry, and the ability to build and execute on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement business development plans to achieve company growth objectives. 2. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including new industries, geographies, and product lines. 3. Research and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market needs to inform business strategies. 4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships. 5. Conduct outreach and sales activities to generate leads and secure new business. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align business development efforts with company capabilities. 7. Prepare and deliver compelling pitches and presentations to potential clients and partners. 8. Negotiate and close business deals with favorable terms for the company. 9. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's value proposition and competitive advantages. 10. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on business development activities and progress.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. 2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of success. 3. Strong knowledge of the marine industry, with a deep understanding of market dynamics. 4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 5. Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and initiatives. 6. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and assessing risks. 7. Proficiency in CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies. 8. Fluent in English 9. Willingness to travel as needed for business development activities.
