1. The role of a DCS Engineer is to support execution of projects. Depending on the specific circumstance, this support could entail procurement of goods, engineering of solutions, and commissioning of systems. 2. A DCS Engineer is a key participant in delivery teams on large projects, but from time to time has to work autonomously to deliver smaller projects. 3. The role requires a high degree of professionalism at all times, and adherence with company policies and procedures, specifically relating to management of quality, and safe working practices. 4. All engineers are expected to assist with developing further business for the company. As a DCS Engineer your role is to support marketing campaigns and to provide assistance from time to time on sales pursuits as required. Job Requirement: 1. Understand the marketing and sales processes, and assist, support and participate as required from time to time. 2. Interpret customer needs, and offer engineering solutions through the use of the company’s product suite and complementary equipment to make up end-to-end automated solutions. 3. Assist with the design of small, medium and large integrated process-control systems, by doing conceptual and detailed engineering design in support of solutions being supplied to our customers. 4. Use best practices for automating industrial processes, from basic process measurement, through to control-room design, and ultimately integration with plant management information systems. 5. Assist with testing solutions ahead of deployment on customer sites. 6. Prepare for, and assist with commissioning of systems on customer sites. 7. Ensure you are following company policies regarding quality on your deliverables. 8. Ensure you are personally following safety practices in the office and on site at all times, in line with company policies and client-specific policies. 9. Take charge for the implement of DCS and SIS systems for Oil&Gas, petrol chemicals, FPSO and othe process control fields. 10. Familiar with ABB 800XA System or SIEMENS PCS7, can design, program, conduct site comissioning and trouble shotting independently, both software and hardware. 11. Fluent English, both oral and writing. 12. Willing to travel, domestic and international, onshore and offshore. 13. Focus on self-development continually, by attending training courses when these are available, through self-study, and through other efforts to stay abreast with the latest developments in our product suite and with the process-automation industry in general.
