Job description: Design for Safety and Reliability (DfSR) Practitioner
Mission The position is responsible to lead in a cross functional team environment the Schneider Electric Design Reliability and Robustness methodology. Qualifications and experiences · Education: 4 years Bachelor degree or 5 years Post Graduate degree / Master in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics of Firmware Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Higher degrees especially in Reliability engineering is preferred · Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or quality field; Experience in Design for reliability (DfSS, DfSR), power management, electronics, electromechanical system is highly preferred · Certified DFSS Black Belt internally at a leading company is preferred · Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is preferred or internally certified Reliability expert. · Experience with p-diagram driven DFMEA development · Advanced working level experience with Reliasoft and Minitab · Experience working in Agile Product Development environment · Customer oriented mindset, including Customer application knowledge · Intercultural skills and experience · Ability to mobilize and build cross-functional activities · Coaching skills is a plus
Role & Responsibilities 61 Animate the cross functional teams to ensure any offer design is safe, compliant, reliable, and robust throughout the full deployment of DfSR methodology, tools/ software utilization, and on-time execution for the offer DfSR deliverables. 61 Responsible for performing the Design preliminary risk assessment together with the cross functional teams as per the defined Offer Hierarchy in Reliasoft, to identify the critical (high/ medium risk) items. 61 Responsible for setting the DfSR plan together with cross functional teams for the identified critical (high/ medium risk) items. 61 Responsible to coach/mentor/train cross functional teams with DfSR tools and methods. 61 Animate, guide and follow up on the DfSR plan execution, ensure all deliverables are executed per DfSR plan on time in full by the cross functional teams. Some of the key DfSR activities per DfSR Plan include but not limited to: o Critical to Quality CTQ’s and Mission Profile Profile well defined, cascaded from Offer level down to subsystem/component level and are registered in Jama Connect o Offer Risk is managed using P-Diagram, DFMEA and FTA using Safety scorecards and are registered in Reliasoft o Design Optimization, Tolerancing, DVT Robustness checklist must be delivered by the engineering /test teams. o Reliability and Robustness planning, testing, analysis, and demonstration using DfSR scorecards. o Problem Solving techniques are applied for any DVT failures and are registered in Jira. o Field reliability is planned, monitored, and analysed to improve current and future offer designs. 61 Responsible for initiating, updating, and issuing the DfSR Report and Scorecards. 61 Ensure with the cross functional teams that no offer will be launched with severity of 9 or 10 with RPN that is greater than or equal to 144
