JOB SUMMARY This position in the Procurement team is responsible for purchasing materials, components and finished assemblies to support production requirements from manufacture facilities. To be the initial point of contact for and operate effective supplier relationships with the external supply chain, demonstrated through the satisfaction of demand requirements whilst optimizing inventory. To manage the incorporation of new products by ensuring suppliers are production ready. Job Responsibilities 61 Purchases from assigned suppliers following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes delivery, inventory and transportation cost which may include: Order Book Management Manage MRP Messages Transportation Arrangement – Transport requests, shipped not received Supplier On-Time Delivery (Grief/receiving discrepancies) Supplier Quality (MRBRR, RTV, SCARs) Supplier Payment Queries (invoice on line, RNV) Inventory Turns 61 Plans, organizes, directs and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance. 61 Participates in projects with other departments and/or external vendors driving performance improvement or cost reduction. 61 Work closely with manufacture site/internal customer and past the requirements to region and prioritize across other functions. 61 Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase, Supplier managed inventory, call off orders or other recognized industry best practice to support lead time reduction and lean activities 61 Contributes to ensuring effective systems, procedures, and policies are maintained in line with all statutory and corporate requirements. 61 Performs other related duties and special projects as required.
Requirements 61 Minimum of 3 years experiences working within a supply chain environment 61 Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively and professionally in both English and Mandarin 61 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 61 Experience working with ERP (i.e. SAP or JDE) 61 Qualified or working towards a relevant supply chain qualification 61 Experience working with multi-national organizations and across cultures 61 Strong sense of responsibility 61 A good team player and problem solver 61 Domestic and international travel may be required
