POSITION SUMMARY Implement, support global supplier development strategies and performance to ensure flawless launches of new programs. Lead the APQP process, coordinate technical reviews, and develop supplier capabilities to meet BW requirements. Conduct supplier quality training at the suppliers and drive performance improvements at the suppliers to meet the quality objectives. KEY PERFORMANCE 61 Lead APQP process as part of new product launches. 61 Coordinate technical reviews and assessments. 61 Develop supplier capabilities to meet BW requirements. 61 Conduct Supplier Quality training. 61 Drive performance improvements to the established objectives. 61 Coordinate cross functional for technical problem resolution. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supplier Vetting 61 Assess the supplier capability by utilizing BW supplier assessment tools 61 Recommendation to the supplier development manager/director for making the right new supplier vetting. Supplier APQP 61 Assist in identifying “high impact” Suppliers 61 Visit new/resourced and/or “high impact” Suppliers to ensure APQP progress/process integrity. 61 Serve as a roadblock remover to ensure APQP target dates are successfully met. 61 Proactively work with Suppliers to minimize and/or eliminate Launch issues. 61 Report Supplier APQP progress/problems to BW Launch Team Supplier PPAP Submissions 61 Review and make disposition on Supplier PPAP submissions. 61 Assure PPAP timing remains on track and meets Launch timing. 61 Update/communicate PPAP timing to Launch Team members. 61 Ensuring all PPAP requirements are met and documentation is up to date. Supplier Audit 61 Conduct Supplier Audits to ensure the supplier’s quality system are maintained properly. Supplier Quality Training 61 Conduct Supplier Quality Training to meet BorgWarner’s and/or Customer’s specific Quality expectations/requirements Safety & Health 61 Ensure BW safety & Health policy are followed. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONS 61 Bachelor's degree/Master ‘s degree in Engineering KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE 61 5+ years of product integration engineering experience/or quality management experience in wafer fab—front end process preferred. 61 Understand general semiconductor backend processes and quality management 61 Able to drive the semiconductor supplier process optimization, quality improvement, with advanced problem solving tools and statistical tools ( DPAT, SYL, SBL, etc). 61 Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA, QS-9000 requirements. 61 Understand AIQG core tools ( APQP, PPAP, FMEA,SPC, MSA) 61 6 sigma or Shainin problem solving certification is preferred. COMMUNICATION/COMPUTER SKILL 61 Effective at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts. 61 Proficient at developing trip reports, general business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from Management and/or Customers. 61 Fluent English speaking. 61 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
