General Description: This position is directly responsible for the day-to-day management of customer account. The individual will primarily manage current business between Morse Systems and the customer account, keeping a focus on competitiveness with the intent of nurturing future growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities 1. This role will serve as the commercial liaison between Morse Systems and the local customer account. The primary focus for the position is to ensure continuity of existing business and that communication is thorough and distributed to appropriate departments in the Morse Systems organization. 2. Commercial Issues Management - the sales engineer will need to manage/resolve all local commercial issues related, but not limited to, quotation, pricing, packaging, logistics, tooling, accounts receivable and purchase orders for production and prototype business. 3. Customer Interface - continuous development of customer relationships at the administrative level is required. Support of the customer management/development plan outlined by the Global Customer Manager will be expected in order to ensure that long-term objectives can be met. The individual will function as the intermediary between our customers and Morse Systems with the responsibility of enhancing our image as a world-class global supplier of powertrain systems and components. 4. Engineering Support- engineering responsibilities will consist of supporting customers and their programs with basic technical information. Engineering support activities could include basic application engineering, returned product analysis and product launch support. 5. Managing Quality & Delivery Measurable – The sales Engineer is expected to effectively collaborate and facilitate communication with the quality, production control and logistics departments at the customer and Morse Systems in order to achieve or exceed acceptable levels of performance on production and prototype business. 6. Cost Initiatives - manage customer cost initiatives within the parameters of the pricing strategy established with the GCM. The sales engineer is responsible for creating, negotiating and executing an annual pricing plan on current business. Coordination with many facets of the organization, particularly global customer management, product engineering and manufacturing engineering will be required to ensure successful implementation of cost savings in an attempt to off-set customer price reductions and maintain account profitability. 7. Change Management - Facilitate the coordination of design change requests on current programs between the operations, engineering and purchasing groups both at the customer and Morse Systems. Will either lead or support program management during the program launch and mass production timing. 8. Forecasting - understand the annual and monthly powertrain production forecasts of the customer and how those changes will affect Morse Systems forecast and budget. Continuous development toward understanding both the micro and macro business environments affecting the customer account is expected. 9. Exploit Competitive Weakness – sales engineer will need to collect, investigate and inform Morse Systems of timely and relevant competitor activity/information. The need to remain updated on competitor status will be critical to positioning Morse Systems with an opportunity to exploit current competitive weaknesses. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor. Requirements 1. Bachelor degree or above (commercial/engineering preferred) 2. 10+ years in sales account management of Bike/E-bike industry 3. 10+ years sales working experience, commercial negotiation experience ,Customer Focus 4.
