职位描述
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Shift Manager /supervisor to join our small to medium co-packing operations in China. With a focus on build high performance, you will manage a large temporary workforce primarily consisting of blue-collar workers sourced through agencies. Reporting to Production Manager, you will be responsible for Manage & Organize the production resources in responsible shift, i.e. machinery, staff and processes to carry out production activities to ensure efficient production operations, which meet quantity and quality targets within safety requirements. Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives implementation to continuously build team members capability so as to build high performance organization. The Shift Manager /supervisor will supervise a team of 7-9 direct reports and large temporary workforce, play a vital role in achieving production targets with regards to Cost/Delivery/Morale/Sustainability within the safety and quality requirements as well.
Responsibilities:
1. Environment / Health and Safety:
61 Ensure all EHS standards/systems and SOPs are well understood and implemented in responsible production shift and area.
61 Regular safety theme training, such as Risk Assessment, Safety Map, LOTO, and Machine Guarding for all employees.
61 Verify and coach EHS standards implementation through Gemba, stop any unsafe activity to build a safe working environment and culture.
61 Work with 3rd party agency management team to ensure that all temporary workforces receive safety-related training prior to onboarding and verify actual implementation.
61 Support and valuable input for the establishment and improvement of EHS management system.
61 Report any accident/incident/ Near Misses or potential risk to EHS team and manager.
61 Investigate and address any safety incidents or near misses promptly and implement preventive measures.
61 Ensure all employees activity compliance to the environment standards. Control the use of water and electricity, reduce waste, and classify, collect, record, and dispose of waste according to requirements.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
61 Uphold and enforce strict quality control standards, ensuring products meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
61 Support and valuable input for the establishment and improvement of quality management system.
61 Ensure quality standards/systems and SOPs are well understood and implemented in responsible production shift and area.
61 Regular Quality theme training, such as GMP/GHP/HACCP/ foreign matter control and 5S for all employees.
61 Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
61 Report any quality issue or potential risk to quality team and manager as requirement.
61 Organize root cause analysis of the quality issue & customer complaints and implement of the CAPA.
61 Communicate and inform HACCP team about any change on production line, Support product /equipment/process validation and qualification.
61 Verify and coach quality standards implementation through Gemba to build a quality first culture.
61 Work with 3rd party agency management team to ensure that all temporary workforces receive quality-related training prior to onboarding and verify actual implementation.
3. Production Operations Management:
61 Full responsibility for the management during the shift, implement of production master plan and daily schedule including Safety/Quality/ Cost/Delivery/Morale/Sustainability, review plan completion rate and targets delivery through Daily Management System to ensure optimal utilization of resources and ensure high productivity.
61 Schedule regular meeting with associate to share the strategy /goal/result and any other information that impact on daily basis operation.
61 Work with Technical and PM to make sure the equipment is running well with a clean and good condition and drive for MTBF improvement.
61 Implement of LPW and ensure the effective implementation of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
61 Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
61 Optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
61 Manage changeover/cleaning/reworks/break time during the shift.
61 Apply all decisions made by site management team and other tasks assigned by the manager.
4. People Management:
61 Work with 3rd party agency to prepare manpower demand plan according to production plan, determine eventual needs of temporary workforces.
61 Allocate manpower where and when needed, daily check under/overtime, ensure the staffs of the team are well arranged and compliance of human rights.
61 Supervise and provide guidance to employee, including temporary workforces sourced through agencies.
61 Collaborate with the 3rd party agency to drive capability building for all employees including process, quality, safety, and equipment, etc.
61 Ensure an adequate and qualified skills and knowledge labor force is available to fulfil their job responsibilities and production requirements.
61 Verify the training and actual implement effectiveness through Gemba.
61 Review the actual attendance and working hours for all employees, including check temporary workforces’ attendance with 3rd party agency.
61 Execute personal development plan and skill training plan, keep regular review with team members.
61 Build effective team to ensure positive moral, high working efficiency, strong teamwork, and commitment to business result.
Qualifications and Skills:
61 Associate degree. Tec/Bachelor. Tech in Mechanical Eng./ Chemical Eng./ Food Technology from a reputed institute.
61 At least 3+ years of working experience in Production Management role. in multinational food manufacturing industry or co-packing environment will be preferred.
61 Experience managing a large temporary workforce, particularly blue-collar workers sourced through agencies will be preferred.
61 Strong problem-solving with a focus on driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
61 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
61 Strong sense for Safety, Quality and Cost management, willing to invest high efforts to achieve excellent goals.
61 Ownership, Reliable, Passionate, open mind, and self-driving, used to work under pressure.
61 Experience in Lean/TPM management, at least know how.
61 Good computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook; Experience in SAP systems will be preferred.
61 Basic English reading/speaking/writing at least can read and write English documents.
