Basic Function / General Description: Develop high quality, cost leading door systems and other mechanical components for Otis elevators. Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve design standard work.
Job Responsibilities: 61 Develop high quality, cost leading door system and mechanical components. 61 Deliver engineering design (models, drawings, and other engineering data) in a flexible and reusable model product framework. 61 Create engineering deliverables as defined in Otis Product Development Process (PDP). 61 Work with global engineering team to define door system design requirements. 61 Develop and apply modeling, analysis, simulation, and computation (MASC) to ensure door system design characteristics are favorable for door performance. - Finite element analysis (FEA). - Kinematic/Dynamic analysis. - Impact analysis. - Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) including heat transfer. - Noise vibration harshness (NVH). 61 Conduct product design technical reviews with expertise team. 61 Support field related quality issue, provide rout cause analysis (RRCA) and solution.
Basic Qualifications, Work Experience & Skills Requirements: 61 5 years elevator door design experience, elevator design experience is preferred. 61 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. 61 Excellent ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with remote team members, including in American & European zones, is essential. 61 Experience in design for cost, manufacturing (sheet metal) and installation is required. 61 Experience in leading product development, from concept to production, is valued. 61 Knowledge of elevator mechanical components, door systems, is valued. 61 Experience in modal analysis, noise and vibration measurement is valued. 61 Be skillful for CDA tools, such as ProE/Ansys. 61 Creative, open minded, critical thinker, hardworking and energetic with good teamwork ethic. 61 Self-motivation to learn and communicate with team to achieve the work target.
Educational Requirements: 61 MS Mechanical Engineering. 61 Language:CET-4 or equivalent.
