Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our Marine team in Shanghai. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our organization's products and services, aiming to achieve the Sales Department's targets in terms of volume, profitability, and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pursue sales leads and visit existing and new customers to achieve sales targets. 2. Utilize technical information to obtain maximum efficiency in customer interactions. 3. Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services. 4. Respond to complex customer inquiries, negotiate terms within authorized limits, and conclude sales orders. 5. Perform pricing analysis and strategize to meet revenue goals. 6. Identify and engage with prospective customers to build relationships that foster future sales. 7. Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and competitor information to relevant internal contacts. 8. Develop and execute long-term sales plans for key accounts, adapting activities as necessary. 9. Establish and prioritize sales plans (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly) in line with Hempel’s guidelines. 10. Position Hempel competitively in the market by differentiating our products and services.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
1. Technical studies or a University degree in Chemistry or a related field is preferred. 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or in sales/customer service. 3. Knowledge of the paint sector is advantageous. 4. Quality-oriented with a proven track record of working to quality standards. 5. Strong team and individual work capabilities. 6. Proficient communication skills in English and the local language. 7. Computer literacy, specifically in MS Office programs. 8. Mandatory training as per Group Training Policy.
