Driving Assistance Research (DAR) is a research and innovation center focused on autonomous vehicles, from highway to urban driving, located in France, Germany, USA, Japan and China. Based in Wuhan, you will join a research team investigating perception, based on Deep Learning from Valeo raw sensor data (camera, Scala etc).
Your challenges ? 61 Implement and improve state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms on automotive data for tasks such as perception for highway & urban driving: 2D & 3D object detection, semantic segmentation, raw data fusion… 61 Train on our GPU racks, maintain and optimize deep learning experiments 61 Optimize and embed your work in the different test vehicles, with a focus on real life, open road testing, for proof of concept demonstrators and client deliveries 61 Maintain a technical watch on the latest news in the scientific communities, but also contribute to major scientific conferences, workshops and summits 61 Contribute to the development of Deep Learning, and machine learning in general, through Valeo, by providing your expertise to the other business units
Let's talk about you...
You have a master / engineering degree or a PhD, in the field of information processing 61 You ideally have at least 3 years experience as a research engineer (programming in Artificial Intelligence) 61 Python and C coding are a must for you 61 You know the classic products in Artificial Intelligence: Tensorflow, Pytorch and have already worked on neural networks 61 You are fluent in English (spoken and written) 61 You have an open and curious mind, excellent interpersonal skills, and know how to adapt to work within a growing team Moreover… 61 PhD or significant research experience much appreciated 61 Git / Gerrit experience, C++ knowledge 61 Automotive / mobile robotics previous / embedded software experience desired 61 Previous academic research experience / publications ideal 61 You have experience in server maintenance and GPU coding (GPU monitoring, job scheduling) Join-us !
