SUMMARY The Inside Sales Representative is a hands-on role and will be responsible to conduct inside sales efforts as well as assist the external sales teams with revenue growth. The position will have the responsibility to aide in the sales efforts; building the pipeline; generating leads, appointments and supporting the outside field sales teams and our partners. This includes developing a strong pipeline of new customers and/or projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting. As a valued team member, you will be required to provide input into strategic marketing activities, interact with management and senior level executives and work under limited direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead Generation and Sales - Conduct Inside-Sales Prospecting /Cold Calling with strategic accounts in order to generate leads and sales opportunities - Researching potential prospects and develop customer call lists, qualify leads, in targeted markets - Make outbound calls to identified target accounts - Help establish a pipeline for outside sales representatives for Metrix products through prospecting, mining construction projects and cold calling - Conduct inside-sales activities focusing on: Help with Quoting, Manage CRM (Leads / Sales Metrics), Signing POs, Reviewing and resolving order exceptions, Manage aftermarket programs (parts / service programs), and selling products - Communicate directly and effectively with key personnel including internal and external customers, end users, and other third-party representatives. - Set appointments for outside sales account managers and representatives to present products and services - Produce lead reports and documenting important customer opportunities; and ensure action is taken and leads are followed through - Responsible for coordination with sales support, manufacturing, purchasing, engineers and specialists to ensure completion of customer correspondence and administration of commercial issues - Regularly reports to manager, on a weekly basis, for orders and quote status - Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic team environment - Work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment
Additional Responsibilities: - Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organizes work areas for efficiency and safety. - Provides status reports to management as required. - Respond to change productively and handle other company required duties
QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree;2+ years of experience working in inside sales and/or customer service required, preferably an industrial or electro mechanical manufacturing environment - Have proven experience in cold calling, appointment setting, and interacting/presenting to customers. - Experience in successfully managing initial customer experience and be able to converse intelligently with all levels of an organization. - Must possess strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Good written and oral English skills - Knowledge of computer-based ERP manufacturing and inventory control systems. - Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in IFS or other Oracle based ERP (preferred), Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred - Individual should possess moderate skills in MS Excel and be proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint.
