Overall: The TE Finance Rotation Program is designed to provide Associates with an in-depth experience through project or process responsibilities in various finance functions. The program consists of four 6-month rotations in Business Unit functions such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial and Project controlling, Operation Finance and also in Corporate functions such as Internal Audit.- The aim for the associates will be to have one 6-month rotation within the corporate functions and three within the various TE business units & segments particularly to learn and focus on operational excellence and performance measurement.- At the conclusion of the two-year program, associates will be candidates for financial roles across Asia TE.- In the rotation program, the associate will be exposed to different systems such as the SAP, TE data warehouse, Hyperion, and other various systems. In addition, the associate will be exposed to various finance department finance leaders, corporate departments, and operational and business departments.- The Associate will be given opportunities for training during the program and will have opportunities for exposure to various locations across greater China and APAC region. The Finance Rotation Program prepares and develops individuals within financial and general leadership areas and aligns them for future leadership opportunities at TE. Role & Responsibilities: As a Finance Rotation Associate, your responsibilities can include the following areas: - (A)FP&A - Assist in the completion of the budget and five-year strategic plan cycles. - Coordinate and support the monthly global planning and reporting cycle, including preparation of the Operating Expense financial forecast. - Develop and maintain financial models in support of monthly close and budget/forecast processes. - Prepare variance analysis in support of month-end and forecast cycles to support monthly report out to senior management and the Segment, including quarterly business reviews and Investor Relations requests. - Complete effective headcount reporting and review meetings with various entity controllers, functional leaders, and Human Resources. - Compile and prepare senior management dashboard reports. - Support any TEOA ongoing initiatives by developing/ enhancing existing processes & reporting to be more efficient and effective. - Support business needs with special projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary- (B) Operations Finance - Assist with preparation and presentation of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of plant actuals. - Assist with the preparation and presentation of the annual budget and monthly financial & production forecast. - Complete budget/actuals /forecast variance analyses. - Prepare various schedules including Supplemental Bridges & Capital Investment Management. - Develop and prepare new reporting tool for cost control of consumable spending. Maximize the potential of SAP reporting tool and train key management on how to use. - Lead financial portion of tier level 4 (plant management) discussions. - Assist with fixed asset cycle counting, capitalization, disposal, tagging, and tracking. - Create and develop new headcount tracking tool. - Support TEOA initiatives by identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements. - Support operations team with special projects and ad-hoc plant finance requests as needed. - Provide assistance with internal and external audit requirements.- (C) Internal Audit - Conduct financial, operational, compliance and/or process audits - Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls - Review and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures - Identify and clearly define audit issues and root causes, recommend improved internal controls and business processes, and ensure that corrective action plans are developed - Draft audit findings - Prepare work papers to adequately document audit work performed and to support conclusions reached - Conduct special projects - (D) Product Management Finance - Review CER, understand the business background and support the business decision. - Make sure CER logic is correct and in line with project assumption - Identify and solve potential risks that may cause financial loss or compliance issues - Verify price/material/manufacturing process details built in project forecast; ensure project cost & margin are accurate and reasonable. - Review mass product cost, estimate & track project actual performance - Drive project margin improvement. Set target and drive function team take actions to improve project margin for low-performance projects - Assist with ad hoc and special projects/analyses (E) Commercial Finance - Provide analysis and support to commercial decision making, to drive sales, margin, and profit - Track sales performance and commercial expenditures - Consolidate, review, and challenge sales forecast - Support key business processes, such as Sales & Operation Planning, annual Budgeting, Codes Request & Approval (CRA), and Sales Territory Assignment (STA) - Manage Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) and provide data support - Support consolidation of sales forecast with the focus of Asia - Assist in preparation of weekly sales tracker - Investigate TE’s share gain or loss in key customers - Track China SIP monthly performance - Monitor AR performance and investigate top past-due customers (e.g. GREE) - Review working capitals, including AR, customer payment terms, and credit limits - Drive for improvements in business processes and systems - Ensure compliance with commercial-related company policies Requirements - Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant majors with 1-2 years related working experience in Finance and Accounting. - Fluency in English Language; - Internship experience in MNC; - International experience is a plus (internship, studies); - Flexibility and Mobility within Asia. - Self-confident and self-motivated individual; - Strong learning agility - A keen sense of integrity and positive attitude; - Highly motivated and proactive attitude towards work
