Summary of the position: This role will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Chemical Substance Management tasks across the APAC region, especially for China. You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting required chemical substance registrations & notifications. You may be involved in chemical substance advocacy to support business needs in the region. Proposed Responsibilities: 61 Focal point of compliance & chemical registration tasks in China. 61 Support the development and implementation of a regional Chemical Management efforts for APAC aligned with global best practices and coordination with the Chemical Management Team. 61 Coordinate and maintain chemical management records, certificates/permits for product/chemical registration/notification to support regulatory compliance, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. 61 Conduct monitoring of regional chemical regulations and perform impact assessments in close cooperation with the Product Stewardship team and Celanese's commercial functions as appropriate. 61 Advocate for responsible chemical substance management practices in the region through active participation in industry associations and regulatory discussions. 61 Develop and deliver training programs on product stewardship activities and best practices for internal and external audiences as needed. Qualifications and Skills: 61 BS or MS degree in chemistry, polymer or material science or other equivalent background 61 Minimum 5 years of practical product stewardship and/or regulatory experience. 61 Excellent English & Chinese communication skills in both written and oral form. Japanese or Korean competency is a plus. 61 Experience with regulatory tracking and impact assessments. 61 Attention to detail & accuracy in data management, authoring & tracking. 61 Good Knowledge of chemical inventory management systems (i.e. IECSC中国/台湾TCSI/PICCS/AIIC), and regulatory requirements on different type of notifications. 61 Familiar with SAP EHS. 61 High ethics and strong regulatory compliance awareness. 61 Ability to interact in a positive, constructive manner and under a variety of circumstances. 61 Work independently, with excellent time management & judgment in prioritization skills. 61 Ability to build relationships quickly and effectively, interact, and communicate information with internal and external stakeholders.
