KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 61 Ensures that company is compliant with domestic and foreign export and import requirements.02 61 Responsible for conducting due diligence on customers and making decisions regarding compliance with all relevant export control and sanctions regulations., escalating to the Global trade compliance leader where necessary. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing daily results from restricted party screening, embargo screening and license checking as well as taking action as appropriate when holds and issues are identified. 61 Responsible for supporting daily classification activities for parts and equipment including ECCNs (both local jurisdiction and US EAR/ITAR) and HTS classifications 61 Conducts training on government laws and regulations, as well as company’s policy and procedures, to company associates and new hires.02 61 Reviews, responds to, and escalates as necessary all government inquiries related to trade compliance. 61 Manages internal and external audits and disclosures.02 61 Provides consultation to business units, global subsidiaries, sales, procurement, project managers, order management, etc. and resolves matters pertaining to export/import transactions and International Trade Sanctions to ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations, as well as local country laws.02 61 Responsible for developing and maintaining customs compliance/export procedures, policies, and documentation. 61 Works in collaboration with procurement and suppliers to verify country of origin status for marking and trade agreement purposes. 61 Supports audit related requirements as needed. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 61 BS/BA/Commerce/Law degree (Desirable) and a minimum of 5-6 years of import/export administration and 3 years of compliance program management experience (essential).02 61 Extensive knowledge of Chinese import and export laws (Essential) and a wide knowledge of import and export laws across the Asia- pacific region (Highly Desirable)02 61 Extensive knowledge of U.S. import and export control laws and regulations (Essential) as they relate to:02 61 Export Administration Regulations (EAR) of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS),02 61 U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC),02 61 International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) of the U.S. Department of State 61 Extensive understanding of applicable export, re-export and deemed licensing requirements.02 61 Good understanding of customs valuation and Rules of Origin 61 Knowledge of various company standard PC applications and operating systems.02 61 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present them in a technical environment.02 61 High accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements for this position.02 61 Excellent stakeholder management skills - ability to influence across the company and to interact with persons at all levels.02 61 Ability to work independently and collaboratively to set and accomplish strategic goals.02 61 Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analysis skills.02 61 Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing with excellent time management skills.02 61 Ability to handle confidential information frequently and appropriately.02 61 Capable of working independently and collaboratively plus experienced and competent in making good judgment calls.02 61 Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
