The Social Media Specialist will support the execution of Mouser’s brand and supplier/technical marketing programs on social media. The role will have responsibilities for scheduling and posting social media, providing social media metrics, working with agencies on deliverables, seeking approvals, and assisting with social media contests and promotions. ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 61 Schedules and posts programming content to social media channels as approved by the manager. Receives and files content and deliverables from agencies. 61 Provides performance metrics for social media channels. 61 Creates and maintains a social media calendar to include programming messages, customer target, and reach. 61 Interacts with International teams and provides social media support as needed. 61 Assists with posting press releases & RSS Feed content on social media, performs quality reviews, and communicates as needed with both internal and external stakeholders. 61 Prepares and posts approved news items internally to Mouser.Central. 61 Assists with social media promotions, contests and related events. 61 Helps with photography/videography as needed. 61 Maintains corporate look and branding on all content. Proactively organizes work-flow, has ability to multi-task and meets deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. 61 Supports and participates in company total quality process; represents the company in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality and trust. SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS 61 Has acceptable driving record and can provide current, valid driver’s license and current proof of insurance 61 Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with Internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Outlook and other software. 61 Ability to multi-task and be extremely organized in a fast paced environment. 61 Knowledge of Social Media platforms. 61 Able to use, read and interpret spreadsheets, printed reports and terminal screen. 61 Knowledge of accounting rules and budget preparation. 61 Able to type data and use PC for long periods of time. 61 Able to carry tradeshow material to Mouser shipping. 61 Skill Evaluation: Math 80%, Spelling 80%, Advanced Excel 80%, and Typing 40 WPM. 61 Other duties as required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 61 Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing. An approved equivalent combination of education and marketing experience may be accepted.
