Core Responsibilities: 1. Develop technical capability and lead prioritized new product development projects that have significant business impact. This encompasses design of experiment, recipe development, process studies, troubleshooting, process optimization and trials with internal & external customers. 2. Manage internal and external projects effectively, this is including but not limited to excellent planning, resources allocation and project execution for a successful completion of the projects. Lead new product development through ideation sessions, literature searches and experimentation. Work closely with operation & global as well as regional innovation to make it happen. 3. Provide in-depth technical solutions in ingredient, formulation, processing procedure and process optimization to go-to-market teams and external customers. 4. Keep up to date on information on food trends and technology. Interact with regional & global technology team to exchange key learning, information and best practices. Work with key customers and the key influencers in the industry to establish strong technical foundation. 5. Work closely with functional team to support project development, and also contribute the commercialization.
Qualified candidates will have: 1. Bachelor’s degree or above. Food science, Chemistry or related background 2. At least 10 years of technical working experience in food ingredient company. Experience with development of modified tapioca starch. Potato is a plus. 3. Familiar with various food application including wide experience and knowledge for the key ingredient like starch, flour, emulsifier, enzyme and other ingredient. 4. Ability to use English for familiar and non-pressuring situations. 5. Excellent negotiating and communicating skills.
