The Role The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for lead new programs and projects for Tesla’s Supply Chain team. This includes managing and integrating the sourcing activities, tooling timelines, capacity assessments, production readiness and industrialization risks from award of business through start of production. This is truly a cross-functional leader who will work with Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing groups on priorities across Tesla’s business and who can drive successful, on time project delivery.
Responsibilities 61 Lead cross-functional teams to deliver Supply Chain’s portion of new projects. 61 Develop strong stakeholder support and cooperation to achieve success and personally report out to executive management as required on project status and key issue resolution. 61 Define sourcing and schedule requirements and material ramp strategies for new 61 projects. Utilize various tools including PLM, ERP, and databases to manage new product development for all supply chain related activities. 61 Work flexibly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and product development teams, as well as buyers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, logistics coordinators and finance personnel. 61 Track performance of various teams and suppliers. Monitor project and team performance on delivery, quality, and cost by developing and maintaining standard reports and Key Performance Indictor summaries.
Requirements 61 Bachelor’s degree minimum, advanced degree and technical/supply chain field preferred. 61 5+ years or more experience in a product development environment - hi-tech, consumer goods or automotive preferred. 61 Excellent analytical and communication skills. 61 Must be able to not only quantify information and analyze it, but must also be able to clearly summarize status and key issues as well as recommend next steps and escalate as required to solve problems. 61 Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders. 61 Advanced Excel skills required. Project software experience a plus.
