Key Responsibilities: 61 Operations Management: o Oversee and manage the daily operations of the NVOCC/SOC, including cargo bookings, documentation, and transportation. o Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure the smooth movement of cargo. o Manage the end-to-end process of FCL shipments. 61 Customer Service: o Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. o Ensure timely communication with clients regarding shipment status, delays, or any other relevant information. 61 Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure all operations comply with international and local regulations, including customs requirements, safety standards, and shipping laws. o Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure the team adheres to all legal requirements. 61 Documentation: o Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork. o Ensure timely submission and filing of necessary documents to relevant authorities. 61 Vendor Management: o Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, trucking companies, and other service providers. o Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure service quality and cost efficiency. 61 Team Leadership: o Lead and manage a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development. 61 Cost Management: o Monitor and control operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. o Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring that operations remain within budgetary constraints. 61 Reporting and Analysis: o Generate and analyze operational reports to track performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction. o Provide regular updates to senior management on operational performance and key issues. Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 61 Minimum of 5 years of experience in NVOCC operations, freight forwarding, or logistics. 61 Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, documentation, and customs procedures. 61 Excellent leadership and team management skills. 61 Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. 61 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 61 Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 61 Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: 61 Experience in managing both import and export operations. 61 Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping and IMDG Code compliance. 61 Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, CILT). Work Environment: 61 Fast-paced office environment with frequent interaction with clients, carriers, and team members. 61 May require occasional travel to ports, client sites, or vendor locations.
