Our ranges of products include building supplies, The main purpose of this role is finding new products for our team in New Zealand and assist in arranging the delivery of the orders with right quality and right price. The Mitre 10 Global Sourcing Office is operated out of Shanghai. You must have a high level of attention to detail, have an open mind, work well independantly, and work hard under pressure to overcome challenges when needed. You will be in regular contact with our team in New Zealand so writing and speaking in English is required for this job. You must also be able to travel on business trips within India. High performing team members will also go on business trips to New Zealand. Job Responsibility: 1. In general princicple, source the right suppliers with the right products and the right quality. 2. Source new products and be the *** to source the new products for M10. 3. Prepare and maintain quote sheets and product specification sheets, hold accountability for all communications regarding quotes and specs. 4. Handle daily inquiries from the buying team in New Zealand and respond promptly to requests. 5. Regular meetings with buying teams and track progress and update status by regular basis. 6. Drive cost reduction initiatives and bring cost of saving to M10 business. 7. Build strong relationships with key supplier partners, get *** hand source from suppliers and update to team in NZ. 8. Work together with our Supply Chain team, Quality Assurance team, packaging team and other teams to settle any issues afterwards. Key Duties will include: 1.New sourcing initiatives – You will be entirely responsible for our the new sourcing of new items, this means working closely with our Category Manger in New Zealand to understand our requirements and work closely with new and current manufacturers. 2.Being responsible for all product knowledge – This includes understanding the specifications of the product, the packaging, and any compliance requirements for M10. 3.Managing supplier relationships – You will be required to manage our supplier relationships closely, including visiting factories, fairs, and conducting regular meetings etc. 4. Cost of Goods Savings – Negotiating with our suppliers for the best possible price and giving cost benefit as a competitive advantage to Mitre 10 either through product cost or payment terms. Job Qualification: 1.Bachelor or above, major in international trade, business English or related. 2. 3+ years working experience in international trade; 3. Solid product knowledge of hardline product categories; 4. Good experience sourcing from China is preferred. 5. Familiar with New Zealand market is a plus; 6. High sense of responsibility, self-motivated; 7. Engaging & influential communication\negotiation skill; 8. Keen observation, analysis and coordination ability; 9. Honest and strictly complying with professional ethics; 10. Excellent team work and working well under pressure. 11.Familiar with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); 12.Good command of written and oral English; 13.Willing to travel if necessary; 14.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
