Eurofins is currently accelerating the deployment of standard processes across its Laboratories. A key aspect is related to its Information Systems (EurIS) in which the central and regional web-based Marketing & Offer applications ComLIMS are essentials. The main objective of this position is to join the IT Solutions Development Team in Brussels (seven persons) to support both technical evolutions and better business needs coverage on select ComLIMS functions. ComLIMS leverages UML modelisation, recent Microsoft technologies (Visual Studio, ASP.NET Mvc, C#, and MS SQL Server) and a few SOA Integration patterns. The candidate is expected to: 61 Contribute to the delivery of high quality ComLIMS software by oneself and together with the team (including design, code, tests, documentation), 61 Embrace high quality engineering and guidelines of the target solutions, 61 Embrace Agile practices and well-known modelisation practices (UML) 61 Develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with select Eurofins user groups.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS: 61 Contribute to the design, development, troubleshooting, tests and documentation of select ComLIMS functions, at appropriate quality levels, and timely. 61 Follow and promote group development practices and policies in order to produce ComLIMS functions that can easily be implemented within Eurofins Group. 61 Use sound software engineering practices and state-of-art development methodologies – so-called Agile – so as to ensure superior quality. 61 Create and maintain level 3 technical and operational documentation that describes program code, logic, changes, and corrections for assigned functions. OTHER ASSIGNMENTS: 61 Ensure follow-up to his Manager and Team Leader on a regular basis and as often as requested. 61 Acquire rapidly a working knowledge of Eurofins EurIS systems, starting with ComLIMS, underlying concepts and model, as well as the processes and practices of the team. 61 Deepen that knowledge on a continuous basis, guided by the most pressing needs of assigned functions. 61 Develop appropriate working relationships with IT and non-IT target groups in Eurofins. Actively support reuse and sharing within the wider EurIS community. PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA: 1. Timely delivery of expected work products. 2. Quality of the design, code and documentation of direct contributions. 3. Integration with Brussels team and beyond (offshore, others teams).
