DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 61 Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic diseases and injuries of infants and children into young adulthood in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. 61 Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews. Examines patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required. 61 Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings. Conducts ward rounds and prescribes therapy. Administers and prescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, and compresses. 61 Determines need for and assists in specialized medical care and treatment. May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency 61 Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee. 61 Works on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other pediatricians and Department Chairperson. 61 Will work closely with the Department Chairperson in supporting departmental goals. 61 May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Department Chairperson. EXPERIENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 61 Board Certified/Board Eligible (or equivalent) in Pediatrics. 61 Doctor of medicine degree from an approved school of medicine. 61 Completion of residency training in Pediatrics at a hospital and program acceptable to the Departmental Chairperson and Chief Medical Officer. 61 Minimum5 years’ experience post-residency in the clinical arena preferred. 61 Fluent Chinese required, and good English preferred.
