In this role, as a Fluid Engineer – Mining and Industrial, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing fluid systems and processes, ensuring their efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer will be crucial in developing innovative solutions for a wide range of engineering challenges In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are: 83 Design & Development 61 Employ CAD software and engineering principles to create fluid systems that integrate piping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other essential components. 83 Optimization & Analysis 61 Analyze fluid flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, and related factors to maximize system efficiency and minimize energy consumption. 61 Use CFD software to predict system behavior and identify potential issues before implementation. 83 Collaboration & Integration 61 Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to seamlessly integrate fluid systems into larger projects, ensuring overall project success. 83 Quality Assurance 61 Thoroughly validate system designs through prototyping, rigorous testing, and data analysis to ensure reliability and performance. 83 Documentation & Standards 61 Prepare comprehensive technical reports, drawings, and specifications that comply with company and industry standards. 83 Continuous Learning & Mentorship 61 Remain updated on the latest fluid engineering trends and advancements, integrating them into current and future projects. 61 Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, nurturing a supportive and growth-oriented work environment. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should bring: 85 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid mechanics. 85 Minimum of 5 years of experience in fluid system design and analysis, preferably in the oil and gas, process industries, or a similar field. 85 Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles. 85 Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, PDM or data management systems for document control 85 Expertise in the design of positive displacement plunger pumps or similar, with a solid understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principles 85 Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL). 85 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 85 Strong communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences. 85 Familiarity with industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and TEMA. 85 Fluent in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages 85 Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. 69 Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?
