In this role, as a Electrical & Control Design Engineer, Industrial and Mining, you will be responsible for design, development, pre-sales and support of new and existing products and systems with an emphasis on Mining applications. This position is located in Shanghai with occasional travel. In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are: 83 Design and programming of control systems for new mining systems 61 Lead tender review activity for new tender requests ensuring all customer requirements are understood. 61 Provide equipment specifications to the sourcing and sales teams. 61 Support the sales team with any customer queries in regards to the tenders. 61 Liaise with the global controls team to ensure the latest technology is being offered to the customer. 83 Ensure product compliance to MA and CCC 61 Work with suppliers to ensure all components specified have the correct compliance. 61 Coordinate with MA and CCC test centres to ensure RMI products are tested and approved in a timely manner. 61 Lead regular project meetings to provide updates to the wider team. 83 Perform functional and compatibility testing of equipment 61 Work with operations to ensure full testing of systems prior to shipment. 61 Coordinate changes to the service team as required. 61 Participate in on site commissioning and surface compatibility of the equipment. 61 Maintain test equipment and test reports. 83 Maintain and upgrade existing mining system equipment 61 Support the sales team to ensure all systems use the latest technology when systems are returned for upgrades. 61 Coordinate changes to the global control team. 61 Participate in product developments with the global control team. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you should bring: 61 Bachelors or Masters Degree in electronic, electrical or controls engineering. 61 Minimum of 5 years experience working with engineering, manufacturing and distribution operations in a mining, oil and Gas, or industrial environment 61 Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, PDM or data management systems for document control 61 Demonstrated knowledge of variable speed technology and applications 61 Demonstrated knowledge of MA and CCC design standards and underground flameproof product requirements 61 Demonstrated knowledge of control protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet IP 61 Electrical design experience using AutoCAD as a minimum, but preferably solid works electrical 61 Demonstrated knowledge of underground hydraulic automation control principles 61 Creative problem-solving skills, conflict management within different organizations (centralized and matrix organizational structures) 61 Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well thought-out recommendations 61 Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for action 61 Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and a focus on results 61 Fluent in English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages 61 Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations 69 Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?
