Position Summary The job incumbent manages the Product engineering projects for Home Appliances. He/she coordinates all activities within the team and provides technical expertise to ensure that the projects meet the customer and company requirements. Main Accountabilities Design & Development 84 Lead and manage the customer negotiations regarding the specifications of the products to be designed and define the functional specifications based on the customer requirements, participate in the presentations for the developed products to the customer 84 Manage the development of the design concepts for the products (3D models, tolerance calculations, etc.) 84 Manage and perform the `functional reviews` at certain stages during the projects (FMEA, design concept release, CAD concept etc.) in cooperation with the Manager R&D, Manage the process of the Functional Product release of the products within the area of responsibility. 84 Patent check before Gate, ensure that the patent rights for new/existing products are protected in cooperation with the Legal department 84 Prepare and maintain the technical documentation regarding the products within the relevant product group 84 Coordinate all engineering activities with the Production department in order to ensure the productbility of the designed products 84 Manage the processes of product modification in regards to the technical specifications during the serial production 84 Manage technical communication with prototype suppliers, i.e. material, durability, process, etc. Project Management 84 Manage one or more projects under the lead of Project Manager and the Manager R&D 84 Coordinate all required engineering activities within a project (concept development, design, simulation, acoustics and validation) 84 Establish the project plan regarding all required engineering activities within a project 84 Coordinate and support all activities within the project team to ensure that all required tasks are performed and all deadlines/quality gates are met 84 Plan, manage and control the engineering budget in the project; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations 84 Define and manage the necessary internal and external resources for the projects within the product group to ensure efficiency during all project stages 84 Ensure compliance with the technical standards, processes and norms of M+H Group during the project in cooperation with the Director/Manager R&D 84 Play the role as LPE to manage domestic development projects or local LPE for global projects. Validation 84 Define DV/PV test plan acc. to customer SOR/requirement. Design of experiment for trouble shooting and problem solving. 84 Define simulation & NVH plan acc. to customer SOR/requirement. Understand simulation & NVH report/results and accordingly guide designer for optimization. 84 Participate in the development and implementation of the testing equipment, tools and methods in accordance with the customer specifications Others 84 Coordinate the engineering activities with the other M+H departments and other M+H locations local, regional and global 84 Participate in/support the development and implementation of the innovation projects within the business unit 84 Provide support for fairs, tech shows and exhibitions to ensure that the M+H brand is promoted and new customers are attracted 84 Master environmental health and safety emergency knowledge, have the ability to identify risks, wear personal protective equipment correctly, use the site's safety facilities correctly, do a good job of garbage classification, save energy. Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Competencies) Education Qualification University degree or equivalent education in the field of Engineering No. of Years of Experience >3 years working experience on product development Professional Exposure (Technical Skills) Basic production knowhow of product and relevant neighbor part Experience in product development in Home Appliance Good CAD skill in UG and/or CATIA Familiar with drawing principle, GD&T Familiar with engineer BOM and Engineer change management Basic knowledge of Chemical filtration, CFD, FEA Basic knowledge on Air purify, Vacuum cleaner, Odor removal etc. Preferred previous experiences Chemical filter development experience Work experience in OEM or tier 1 supplier is preferred Functional Skills Basic filtration knowledge Be good at MS-office software and presentation skill Overall Project management skill Behavioural Skills Good communication skill, good team work Ability to work under pressure Trouble shooting and problem solving skill.
