The Perceived Quality Material as a part of Shared Service team within Vehicle Tophat is responsible for PQ Material (AAR Review), and PQ Illumination. All the attributes are directly linked to the first meeting with the car, how it looks, feels and works. Our contribution is a focus on a premium impression with the right harmony and quality, a refined and well-built product which is comfortable, uncomplicated and human focused. The customer's first impression lasts and thereby central to the VCC brand. We are now looking for a Perceived Quality Material Engineer in Volvo Shanghai. As Perceived Quality Material Engineer, you are leading the Complete Vehicle assignments in the programs from <PSF> to <FSR>. You have the responsibility to balance the different technical system solutions versus all attribute requirements of the vehicle, lead and manage the analyse and verification cross functional R&D both throughout the virtual and the physical verification and testing phase including optimization of test vehicles, coordinating and prioritize all complete vehicle testing.
What you will do
Responsible for appearance approvals (AAR) on Interior and Exterior components; Perform attribute analysis and benchmark on Complete Vehicle for PQ Material and Illumination; Specify the attribute level, with regards to the desired degree of customer satisfaction and competitiveness (as defined by product definition); Define, lead and drive PQ issues in order to fulfil attribute targets in specified area; Work with global PQ group, take part in the attribute topics discussion; Plan and conduct competitive analysis as basis for attribute requirements; Support ART-responsible in their system development; Communicate the attribute situation to program and line management; Verify that selected system solutions together have the ability to meet attribute requirement target levels at complete vehicle level; Support in other PQ activities where needed
