As a Product Development Chemist, Expert, you will focus on the formulation development of our powder coating products and their testing and analysis. You will work in our lab in Jiading Plant located in Shanghai. You will report to Product Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Design and improve powder coating formulations based on customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Conduct research to develop new powder coating formulations and improve existing ones.

Perform laboratory tests to evaluate the performance of powder coating formulations.

Work with different teams, including production, sales, and marketing, to understand customer needs, address technical issues, and provide technical support. Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate new raw materials.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, test results, and formulation changes. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation required.

Resolve technical issues related to powder coating products, such as application defects, adhesion problems, or color inconsistencies. Investigate customer complaints and provide solutions.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is typically required.

3-5 years experience in powder coating product development or a related field. Experience with formulation optimization, testing methodologies, and quality control procedures is beneficial.

Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instruments used for testing powder coating properties. Capability to interpret test results, identify trends, and make decisions based on data.

Capability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions.

Excellent written and verbal English are required.
