Responsibilities
1 Team Management: Lead a team of robotics engineers, distribute tasks, oversee the completion of work, and ensure coordination among team members.
2 Strategy Development: Define the strategy and direction for robotics projects, set goals, and priorities.
3 Design and Development: Participate in the design and development of new robotic systems and components, including creating prototypes and conducting testing.
4 Innovation and Research: Conduct research activities, keep track of the latest trends and technologies in robotics, and implement innovative solutions.
5 Project Coordination: Manage projects from conception to completion, monitor timelines and budgets, and ensure the quality of work.
6 Product focusing: Interview with clients and stakeholders, gather requirements, provide progress reports, and present finished solutions.
7 Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain technical documentation, establish and adhere to engineering standards and processes.
8 Training and Development: Train and develop team members' skills, fostering their professional growth.
9 Problem-Solving: Analyze emerging problems and find effective solutions.
Expertise
1 Hardware Engineering: Strong background in hardware engineering, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and electronic design principles, techniques, and methodologies.
2 Team Leadership: Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower a team of hardware engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
3 Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, preferably in a hardware development environment.
4 Design Review: Ability to perform thorough design reviews and provide constructive feedback on hardware designs, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
5 Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
6 Risk Management: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in hardware development projects.
7 Quality Assurance: Knowledge of quality management principles and practices, including design verification, validation, and testing, to ensure product quality and reliability.
8 Supplier Management: Experience in managing relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to source components and ensure timely delivery of hardware components.
9 Cost Management: Understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and cost-control techniques to manage project budgets and optimize costs in hardware development processes.
10 Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, schematics, BOMs, test reports, and manufacturing documentation, to support product development and manufacturing processes.
